Sweet Spicy Gochujang Chicken



This Sweet Spicy Gochujang Chicken recipe combines the bold flavors of gochujang paste with the sweetness of honey to create a deliciously sticky glaze for tender chicken thighs. Perfect for a flavorful weeknight dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, gochujang paste, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes

Place chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour marinade over them

Seal the bag, removing as much air as possible

Massage the marinade into the chicken

Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight

Preheat oven to 400F 200C

Remove chicken from the marinade and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Discard excess marinade

Bake chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear, flipping halfway through cooking time

Garnish with sliced green onions before serving
